Rex Gets Ink Re-Do

Rex Ryan is known for wearing his emotions on his sleeve.

And under them.

While in Arizona for Super Bowl XLIX, Ryan had a tattoo updated from Jets green to Bills blue.

Originally, the tattoo was a picture of his wife, Michelle, wearing nothing but a Mark Sanchez number 6 jersey. According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Ryan had a tattoo parlor in Scottsdale update the colors. Apparently, the jersey number was not changed. Currently, punter Colton Schmidt wears number six for the Bills.

It’s likely he’s never been so popular.

According to the report, Ryan paid Old Town Ink in Scottsdale 80 bucks plus a tip to do the work. Artist Ben Verhoek took a moment to recognize him, but did the job without much fanfare.

Ryan, like many other coaches, is ditching the apparel from the Jets in favor of Bills gear. He reportedly donated his famous Jets sweater vests to a local Salvation Army.
